About the Author
Vince Flynn was an American author of political thrillers. He is best known for his series of novels featuring the character Mitch Rapp, a CIA operative. Flynn's novels have been translated into more than 30 languages and have sold more than 20 million copies worldwide.
Flynn was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1966. He graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul in 1989 with a degree in marketing. After graduating college, Flynn worked as a sales representative for a medical equipment company. In 1994, he quit his job to write full-time.
Flynn's first novel, Term Limits, was published in 1997. The novel was a critical and commercial success, and it launched Flynn's career as a thriller writer. Flynn went on to write 14 more novels in the Mitch Rapp series, as well as several stand-alone novels.
Flynn died of prostate cancer in 2013 at the age of 47.
